Curriculum Resources

Our curriculum resources includes lesson plans, worksheets, and fact sheets that can either be used on their own or combined with a field trip to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum.

Expedition to Ancient Egypt

Our curriculum consists of an expeditionary field trip to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and suggested classroom studies to use before, during, and after your museum visit. The pre-visit lesson introduces the thinking routines students will use to investigate the museum collection effectively. The curriculum to be used during your visit includes a handout for students to fill out and twelve student expeditions for teachers and students to select from. The post-visit lesson continues the learning experience by connecting students' museum experience to broader understandings and challenges them to extend their learning further.

These three lessons are designed to help you prepare for your expedition so that your students and chaperones will be able to derive the maximum benefit from the visit, and they will greatly enhance the museum experience.

The curriculum also includes an outline for an extensive three week long project-based learning designed to explore how the ancient Egyptian concept of Ma'at can be applied to investigate solutions to modern climate change challenges for teachers to use.
